My school day.

In the evening I don’t watch TV but I like to play computer games. I go to bed at 10.30.

In the middle of the room there is a big round table. We often gather together at this table and play table games. On the walls there are beautiful paintings of modern artists.

I have my own room. It is small. It hasn’t got much furniture but it is very cosy. It is a pity that there is no balcony in my room.

Our kitchen is big and comfortable. We have a big fridge and a microwave oven. We usually have breakfast and supper in the kitchen.

I go to school № 2009. This year I am in the 5th form. I have 5 or 6 lessons a day. The lessons start at half past 8. My favourite lesson is Art. I like drawing and our teacher is very kind. She always gives us good marks. I have many other subjects in my timetable too.

I have lunch at half past 10. I have dinner at school, too. I don’t go home after dinner. I stay at school and have fun with my friends. I sometimes do my homework at school, too.

I like school, but I don’t like lessons. The school year finishes in May. We have summer holidays in June, July and August. I love summer!

I come home at 2 o’clock and have dinner. Then I have a little rest and start doing my homework.

In the evening I have supper and then watch TV or play computer games.

  • Второй этап: чтение текста 2 раза. Ребята читают текст, сдают его учителю, после чего получают задания.
  • Третий этап: выполнение заданий. Задания выполняются без наличия текста перед глазами, так как в 5 классе ребята уже должны читать и понимать простые тексты, иначе они найдут похожие предложения и просто спишут ответы, не вникая в суть текста.

Данный текст можно использовать и для 4 класса, но тогда задания выполняются при наличии текста перед глазами.

Данный тест по чтению несложный. Он основан на лексике по темам: семья, внешность, школа.

A VILLAGE SCHOOL

The Greens are a British family. Mr. Green is a builder and Mrs. Green is a housewife. There are three children in the family: a son and two daughters. Mike is thirteen years old, Sandy is twelve and Kate is ten.

All the three children are pupils. Mike is at the boys’ school; his sisters are at a school for girls. Mike is a tall boy. He is clever. He is a very good pupil.

Sandy has dark hair and hazel eyes. She is a pretty girl, she is clever and a good pupil. Her sister Kate is a nice girl with long fair hair and large blue eyes. She is good at music.

The Greens are in Australia now. Mr. Green’s uncle is a farmer. His house and farm in Australia are in a village. The Greens are in their uncle’s house now.

The house is big. It is on a hill. It is summer now. In Australia January, February, March and April are summer months.

The school in the village is small. In fact, it is a one-room school. There is only one teacher for all the pupils. The garden around the school is very beautiful. The Greens are fond of the farm and the school in the village.

Тема: «Работа с текстом. Сказка « Спрятанное сокровище» («Buried treasure»)»

Цели урока:

Образовательные:

  • Повышение коммуникативной и лингвистической  компетенции учащихся, обучение работе со страноведческим материалом и неподготовленному монологическому  высказыванию на основе прочитанного и услышанного на уроке.

  • Формирование социокультурных знаний и умений.

Воспитательные:

  • Повышение культуры речевого общения в процессе овладения принятыми правилами речевого этикета.

  • Формирование интереса к истории, культуре страны изучаемого языка.

Развивающие:

  • Развитие навыков самостоятельной, коллективной и индивидуальной  работы.

  • Формирование готовности к познавательно-поисковой деятельности.

  • Повышение мотивации к изучению иностранного языка путем применения методики критического мышления

Задачи урока:

  1. Активизация  лексического материала.

  2. Совершенствование навыков письменной и устной речи.

Ход урока

  1. Организационный момент. Приветствие.

Учитель: Good morning boys and girls. How are you today?

Учащиеся: Good morning. Fine. And how are you?

Учитель: I’m fine. Thank you. Sit down, please.

Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы учителя.

Учитель: Today we will read an English fairy tale. Do you like fairy tales? The title of our tale is “Buried Treasure”. Can you translate it? — Okey. «Спрятанное сокровище». Before we start reading the text, look at the blackboard. You can see some words from the text.

Buried Treasure

(an old tale)

An old peasant* had a large garden with many fruit trees. He was also the father of three strong, but lazy sons. They helped him very little in his work. Every morning before the sun was hot the peasant began to work in the garden. And every afternoon he had a rest in the garden under a tree.

There came a time when the peasant could no longer* work among his trees, for* he was very, very old.

One day his three sons gathered in his room to hear the reading of the will*.

“I leave to my sons my garden and the treasure which lies buried there.

The three sons looked at one another. “Treasure!” they exclaimed. “Treasure buried in the garden! If we hire* others to dig there, they may steal* our treasure from us. We must work in the garden until we find it.”

So the sons divided the garden into three parts and began to work harder than ever before. They dug from one end of the garden to the other end, but they could not find the treasure.

That year, however, the fruit trees brought so much fruit, that when the three sons sold* the fruit they got much money. It seemed to be a fortune*.

When they divided the money, one of them said, “Indeed, our digging has brought us a treasure. Our father was very wise.”

And so each year their digging brought them a treasure.
